Rigid Heddle Loom Weaving 4/30

The Rigid Heddle loom is easy to set up and use - and it is light weight and portable. You will be amazed what you can make on this very simple loom. In this class you will learn how to warp the loom and how to weave a beautiful scarf, in yarns of your choosing. This class is limited to 4 students, so that every student has plenty of time with the instructor.

Materials: 200 yards Malabrigo Rios for warp, 200 yards Malabrigo Rios for weft. scissors, a tapestry needle and a brown paper grocery bag that can be cut to use when winding warp onto the loom.

You need an 8-dent heddle and warping equipment if bringing your own loom.

*Please arrive at 8:30 am if you need to purchase yarn, wind yarn, or are bringing your own loom. If you are bringing your own loom, please make sure it is in good working order before hand, and be sure to bring all tools and warping equipment with you. Class will start at 9:00 am. We will take a 30 minute break for lunch. Feel free to bring a lunch, or enjoy take out from one of our local restaurants - just keep in mind the time constraint!
