Beginners Welcome Hat

Have you learned how to knit and purl and are ready to take on a hat? Do you want to know what the mohair craze is all about? Are you just getting back to knitting after a long hiatus and want to be sure you are doing things correctly? The Beginners Welcome Hat is a fun way to get practice AND make a beautiful hat perfect for gifting (or keeping for yourself). In class one we will cast on, set our pattern, and will learn how to fix simple mistakes. In class two we will use double pointed needles, work decreases and learn how to weave in ends. 

Materials: approx 200 yards of worsted weight wool, 25g of lace mohair, US 7  16" circular needles AND double pointed needles, stitch markers, US H crochet hook. Students should also purchase the pattern before class. Worsted weight wools: Universal Deluxe Worsted, WoolDreamer's Mota, Hey Mama Wolf Skadi. Lace yarns: Kidsilk Haze, Baah Halo, Manos del Uruguay Cabrito.

Students should know how to knit, purl.

Date: Tuesdays, January 27th & February 10th (2 sessions)
Time: 1-3 or 5:30 - 7:30. (Second session will meet from 1-2 or 5:30-6:30)
