Woven Art is a unique and inviting yarn shop located in Lansing's vibrant East Side neighborhood, about 1 1/2 miles from Michigan State University. Founded in 2003, we carry handspun yarns, and yarns from small mills in Michigan, and from across the United States. We have a selection of yarn from South America, South Africa, England, Japan, and Italy. Our large selection also includes yarns that are made from sustainable and environmentally friendly fibers, yarns supported with great patterns and designs, and staples you need.

Located on the corner of Michigan Ave and South Francis Avenue, Woven Art Yarn Shop has its own dedicated parking lot as well as on-street parking on South Francis and in front on Michigan Avenue. 

The shop is on CATA‘s No. 1 bus line, with convenient bus stops available East & West bound on Michigan Avenue within 1 block of the shop, this location is easily accessible to campus and the broader CATA network of public transportation. We hope to offer a bike rack in the near future.

Woven Art Yarn Shop is excited to continue our mission of education, access to quality materials, and supporting the fiber arts in the lives of our community. We are committed to offering a space where knitters, crocheters, spinners, weavers and more can discover their found family, and a life-long love of craft.

We offer classes and workshops in knitting, crochet, weaving, dyeing, spinning and more. In addition to our own talented teaching staff, we bring in well-known instructors from both near and far.

Woven Art is wheelchair accessible, with safety bars in our non-gendered bathrooms.
