Woven Art is a unique and inviting yarn shop in downtown East Lansing, at the doorstep of Michigan State University. Founded in 2003, we carry handspun yarns, and yarns from small mills in Michigan, and from across the United States. We have a selection of yarn from South America, South Africa, England, Japan, and Italy. Our large selection also includes yarns that are made from sustainable and environmentally friendly fibers, yarns supported with great patterns and designs, and staples you need.

We offer classes and workshops in knitting, crochet, weaving, dyeing, spinning and more. In addition to our own talented teaching staff, we bring in well-known instructors from both near and far.

Woven Art is wheelchair accessible, with safety bars in our non-gendered bathrooms.

Parking: we are happy to validate for any City of East Lansing lot or garage where you can draw a ticket. We cannot validate for meters, or pre-pay spots.  Free 2-hour parking can be found one block from the shop, on MAC Avenue, just north of Linden Street. Please do not park in the lot next to our building - it is private, permit parking only. On Sundays only, city parking garages and lots, residential streets and the city hall lot are all free and open for parking.
