Beginning Rigid Heddle Weaving

Learn to weave on a rigid heddle loom at Woven Art with instructors from the Greater Lansing Weavers Guild! In this workshop, students will learn how to choose appropriate yarns, dress the loom, and weave a complete project. Handouts with step-by-step instructions and suggestions for continued learning will be provided.

Students may bring their own rigid heddle loom or rent one from Woven Art for the duration of the class. If you need to rent a loom, please reserve one here.

Materials: 2 skeins of Malabrigo Rios or other worsted weight wool. 2 brown paper grocery bags (we have extras on hand), scissors, pen or pencil.
