Beginning Drop Spindle 5/9/26

In this workshop, students will learn how to spin on top whorl drop spindles, why the weight of the spindle matters, and how to ply. We will also discuss the characteristics, advantages, and origins of several spindles from around the world. Students will leave with a basic working knowledge of drop spindles and how to create their own handspun yarn.
We have spindles on hand for students to use, but if you have a spindle, please bring it. Spindles are also available for sale.
