Intro to Handspinning 11/14 - 11/15 Weekend

Learn to spin yarn by hand! Students will learn the basics of spinning yarn using the drop spindle before moving on to the wheel. An introduction to fiber preparations and all the basics of spinning and plying a yarn will be covered with all materials provided. 

Materials fee (included in class price) includes: 4 oz roving, 2 oz dyed wool top

Students should bring: Optional: a drop spindle AND if you have a spinning wheel in good working order please bring it to learn on! If you are not sure, please email us and we will connect you with Emily. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A WHEEL OR DROP SPINDLE: please sign up for the class and email us at wovenartshop AT gmail DOT com and let us know you will need to borrow equipment.
